About us

A home of love, run with the seriousness the children deserve.

We believe every child has value, potential and a future. This home exists to protect childhood, support families, nurture potential and build futures.

Our story

Mother Elizabeth Redeemed Children’s Home of Love grew out of a conviction that children in difficult circumstances still deserve a home that feels like a home: meals, school, adults who stay, and room to imagine a future. The work sits under the administration of BCS Worldwide and is based in Calabar, Cross River State.

Who we are

We are a child-care, child-development, family-support and humanitarian organisation. Residential care is one part of the work. We also walk with children who live with a parent, families under pressure, and communities that need practical support.

Vision

A society in which every child is loved, protected, educated and free to build a meaningful life.

Mission

To create safe spaces, nurture potential and build brighter futures for children, young people and families.

Philosophy

Dignity first. We do not define a child by poverty, loss or family structure. We do not use distress as a fundraising device.

Approach

Care, education, health, skills and family support, held together by safeguarding, accountability and the ordinary discipline of a well-run home.

Leadership

The home is led day to day under BCS administration. Public leadership profiles are published only with consent and without exposing residents.

Our future

Stronger learning, clearer family support, and a public record of impact that donors and partners can trust.

Our values

Love

We treat every child with compassion and dignity.

Dignity

We respect every child’s identity, worth and potential.

Integrity

We act honestly and responsibly with what is entrusted to us.

Compassion

We respond to genuine need with care, not spectacle.

Excellence

We pursue high standards in care, education and service.

Accountability

We manage resources so donors and families can trust the work.

Faith

We encourage moral and spiritual development consistent with our values.

Empowerment

We help children and families build the capacity for a better future.
